Ishpeming- Reginald W. "Reggie" Lusardi, age 56 of 7060 Co. Rd. 581 Ishpeming passed away after a courageous battle with cancer Sunday May 8, 2016 at the UP Health System Marquette.
Reggie was born September 21, 1959 in Ishpeming to Rita J (Hebert) and the late Andrew J. Lusardi. He graduated from Ishpeming High School, class of 1977. Reggie was employed at the Robbins Flooring Mill, where he had worked for the past 31 years.
Reggie had a love for music, he played bass in many bands most notable Da Yoopers, along with "Just 4 Fun", "Telegraph", "Nuff Sedd", "Sweet Water Express", "Back Stage", and "Spring Fever". He had a love for the outdoors where he enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. Reggie was a member of UP Whitetails, enjoyed watching the Packers and was a NASCAR fan. Family time was very special to Reggie; he enjoyed time spent with his grandchildren and a good barbeque. He will be missed by his canine companion Ronnie.
Reggie is survived by his wife Denise (Decaire) Lusardi, whom he married on July 19, 1986, his mother Rita Lusardi, a son Richard (Patsy) Lusardi, 6 siblings: John (Sherry) Lusardi, Barb Lusardi, Faye (Grover "Dan") Lewis, Andy (Michelle) Lusardi, Kathy (Chris) Pepin and David (Sandi) Lusardi, 2 granddaughters: Stephanie & Kaylee Lusardi, brother in law and sister in law Jim & Norma Decaire, special friend Lee Bushong, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. Reggie was preceded in death by his father Andrew J Lusardi Sr., in laws- Mary and Clarence Decaire, sister in law Joanne Goodrich and his dogs Buddy & Copper.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 5:00 pm on Thursday May 12, 2016 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Ishpeming with Fr. Larry Van Damme officiating.
Reggie's family will greet relatives and friends on Thursday at St. Johns Church from 2:00pm until the time of service at 5:00pm.
A luncheon will be held at K/D Hall following the service.
