Ishpeming- Randolph S. Harsila, age 54, lifelong Ishpeming area resident, passed away on Saturday October 16, 2021 at St. Luke's Hospital in Milwaukee.

Randy was born in Marquette on September 2, 1967, son of the late Ernie and Judith (Peterson) Harsila. He was a graduate from Ishpeming High School class of 1986. Following graduation he enlisted in the United States Navy where he served from 1986 until his honorable discharge in 1990. Randy worked at LS & I railroad for many year as a Congineer.

Randy was a member of the Bethel Lutheran Church in Ishpeming, the American Legion Post 114, VFW Post 4573, Ishpeming Elks Lodge 447, the Dead River Campers Association, and the Ishpeming Ski Club where he loved ski jumping in his younger years. He enjoyed going hunting, boating, watching football, and spending time at camp.

Randy is survived by his wife Tania (Koski) Harsila, his in-laws- Paul and Karen Koski, 2 children- Tristen and Bryce Harsila, sisters- Debbie (Wayne) LaMere, Tonya (Brad Gleason) Harsila, brother-in-law- Fred (Kim) Koski, sister-in-law- Heather Koski, nephews- Brad and Tyler Koski, nieces- Lexie Koski and Lilly Patraw, along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister- Shawna Harsila.

Randy's family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday October 23, 2021 from 10:00am until 12:00pm at the Bethel Lutheran Church in Ishpeming. A memorial service will be held at 12:00pm with Rev. Steve Weston officiating. A luncheon will follow in the church hall. Military Honors will be conducted by the United States Navy.
