Obituary

Ishpeming – Randall R. "Randy" Hough, age 49, of 646 Wabash St. Ishpeming, passed away on Monday August 8, 2011 at the Mather Nursing Center in Ishpeming Twp. where he had resided since July 26th.

Randy was born March 22, 1962 in Riverside, CA the son of Ret. Col. Robert Hough and the late Truth (Miller) Hough. He grew up in California, and learned to love music at a young age. Randy served a stint as a dance instructor in California, but it was his love of music that continued throughout his life. Randy was a gifted musician, playing in many bands on the West Coast and in Las Vegas, and at one point he held a top 100 hit. Although he was an excellent guitar player, he could also play 11 different instruments and would often say "Music is not a competition, but a passion that I like to share".

Randy had worked for the Washington State Liquor Commission prior to moving to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan 10 years ago. He married Connie Asikainen on July 14, 2007 and together they resided in Ishpeming. While in Ishpeming Randy played in a couple of bands and bartended at Hickey's Bar.

Survivors include his wife Connie Hough of Ishpeming, his father Ret. Col. Robert Hough of Washington State, his special girl Tianna Hough of Ishpeming, step-daughter – Deanna Stephens and step-son Trevor Stephens both of Wisconsin, maternal grandmother Truth Lyons of Washington State, 4 sisters – Robin (Roger) Hutchinson, Truth Snow, Tracy (Henry) Nguyen and Kim Kramer all of California, 3 brothers Jim (Carol) Hough and Joe Hough of California and Corey Hough of Chicago, IL, 5 grandchildren – Quinton, Madison, Dalton, Adrianna and Trevor, a special aunt Ruth Mihelick and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
