Ishpeming- Ralph A. "Snuffy" Emanuelson, age 82 of 34242 Co. Rd. 581 Ishpeming (Ely Twp) passed away Thursday, March 9, 2017 at the UP Health System Marquette with his family at his side.

Ralph was born at home in Tilden Twp on December 1, 1934 to Arnold & Margaret (Dymond) Emanuelson. He attended National Mine School. Ralph worked as a laborer for Warren Alloy.

Snuffy enjoyed hunting and fishing, watching TV and spend countless hours repairing and restoring watches and clocks.

Snuffy is survived by his wife Barbara (Vial) Emanuelson, whom he married on November 28, 1975, 4 children: Kimberly Maxwell of Chatham, Ralph Emanuelson Jr., Dennes Emanuelson both of Ishpeming and Thomas Emanuelson of Davison, MI, a brother, Robert Emanuelson of Ishpeming, 2 grandchildren: Sidney Richards and Anna Emanuelson, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Snuffy was preceded in death by his parents, 5 sisters: Peggy Niemi, Judy Albertson, Charlotte Langson, Marlene Vien and Carol Royea, and 2 brothers: Donald and Gary Emanuelson.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM, Thursday, March 16, 2017 at the Ishpeming Salvation Army with Captain Douglas Winters officiating. A dinner will follow the service in the fellowship hall of the Salvation Army in Ishpeming
