Ishpeming- Phyllis Estelle Farley, age 86 of 223 W. Ridge St., Ishpeming, passed away Monday, May 16, 2011 at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility with her family at her side.

Phyllis was born December 18, 1924 in Minneapolis, MN to Miner & Violet (Cowling) Hendrickson. She graduated from Deaconess School of Nursing in Minneapolis. Phyllis has been a resident of Ishpeming since 1950 moving from Minnesota. She worked as a RN at the Bell Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church.

Phyllis is survived by 2 children: Ruth (Vance) Maki and Pete Farley both of Ishpeming, a brother Hollis Hendrickson of Minneapolis, MN, 2 grandchildren: Melissa (Jeremy Symons) Maki and Marc Maki, a great granddaughter Jillian Jade Symons, brother in law and sister in law Fred & Betty Maki of Ohio, along with nieces and nephews. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, husband Edward Farley, a daughter Susan Marie Farley and a sister in law Lois Hendrickson.

At Phyllis request, private graveside services will be held at the Ishpeming Cemetery.
