Obituary
Ishpeming- Peter W. Olien, age 82, formerly of 766 Wabash St. Ishpeming, passed away July 27, 2007 at Mather Nursing Center where he had been a resident for the past month. Peter was born January 3, 1925 to the late Peter and Julia (Olson) Olien of Ishpeming.
As a life long area resident, Peter was a 1943 graduate of Ishpeming High School. He worked many years in the construction business for the UP Plumbers & Pipe Fitters Union. He was also a member of the United States Army and served during World War II. Peter was very Patriotic and he knew his Bible cover to cover.
Peter is survived by several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by two sisters: Virginia Hendrickson and Helen Guelff, and one brother: Douglas Olien.
A private graveside service will be held on Monday, July 30, 2007 at the Ishpeming Cemetery with Rev. Tim Ott officiating.
