Negaunee - Peter J. Argall, age 60 of 240 S. Healy Ave passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at home while in the loving care of his family and U.P. Home Health and Hospice, following a short battle with cancer.

Peter was born in Ishpeming on May 22, 1956 to the late Eugene and Betty (Lee) Aragll. He was a graduate of Negaunee High School Class of 1975. He received an associate degree from Northern Michigan University in Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning. Peter was a member of the Operating Engineers Union Local 324. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and loved the outdoors. In his spare time he enjoyed working with wood, collecting guns, reading westerns, cooking, and was an aspiring inventor. Peter worked for A. Lindberg and Sons for several years, and also worked in just about any field you could imagine, from driving the Zamboni at the Negaunee Ice Arena, to playing Santa Claus for family and friends.  He helped build the retaining wall surrounding Teal Lake, which remains today, and co-owned a radiator repair shop with his brother, Dan. He was truly a Jack of all trades.

Peter is survived by his three children: Jenny (Adam) Paltzer of Negaunee, Amber Argall of Ishpeming, Patrick Argall of Negaunee, 5 siblings- Eugene (Pauline) Argall of Ishpeming, Victoria (Joe) Brady of Marquette, Daniel (Sharon) Argall of Ishpeming, Jeffery (Kathy) Argall of Marquette, Debra (Dean) Luplow of Ishpeming, 2 grandchildren- Mitchell Paltzer and Greta Paltzer, both of Negaunee, along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, John Argall.

The Family would like to extend a special thank you to Debbie Argall, Jeff Argall, and Pam Denofre for their love and support.  They were indispensable during the last days of Pete's journey.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home on Thursday, December 22, 2016 with the Rev. Warren Geier to officiate.  The family will greet relatives and friends from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at 12:00 PM.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, donations can be made to the family of Peter Argall, to help offset medical and funeral expenses.
