Ishpeming- Pauline Mary (Poirier) Laroen, age 80, of Ishpeming passed away on December 19, 2020 at UP Health System Bell.
Pauline was born to Roy and Clara (Bucco) Poirier in Ishpeming on March 30, 1940. She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church. Pauline lived and worked for various insurance companies in the Twin Cities for about 60 years. After retirement she served as a very active volunteer at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids, MN for many years before moving from Champlin, MN to Ishpeming in April 2019.
Pauline enjoyed so many things, among them were seeing all the trees in the U.P., visiting with friends and family, crocheting and making many prayer shawls to donate to those dealing with serious illnesses, and watching Minnesota Vikings football games.
She is survived by her brothers; James (Janet) Poirier of Clawson, MI, Roy "Bud" (Mary) Poirier of Ishpeming, and Bob (Cindy) Poirier of Seven Fields, PA, Nieces and Nephews; Gary, Randy, Jeffrey, Lisa, Tod, Amy, Rob, and Mike Poirier, Great nephews and nieces; J Maikel, Ashley, Allyson, Chris, Kimberly, Jason, Katie and Robin, Sister-in-law; Joann Poirier, of Broken Arrow, OK and many friends in Minnesota and locally.
She was preceded in death by her husband Leonard Laroen, her parents, and a brother Paul Poirier.
As she requested cremation has taken place and private family services will be held. A celebration of life will be held at a later date this coming summer.
