Ishpeming Twp. – Paul J. Nault, age 49, of 325 French St., Peshtigo, WI and former North Lake area resident, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday June 29, 2008 in North Lake Location.


Paul was born June 20, 1959 in Ishpeming the son of Theodore Nault Jr. and the late Shirley (O'Donnell) Nault. He was a graduate of the Westwood High School, Class of 1977. Paul served in the Army National Guard, and at one point trained in Korea. Paul had worked for several years doing logging and construction work locally and most recently was doing welding in Peshtigo, WI where he had resided for the past year. Prior to living in Peshtigo he had lived in Texas for a year.


Paul was a member of the American Legion, Post #114. He loved spending time in the outdoors, especially hunting.


Survivors include his wife Lisa M. (Hicks) Nault of North Lake Loc., two sons – Aaron C. Nault and Cody M. Nault both of North Lake Loc., his father Theodore Nault Jr. and step-mother Betty Nault of North Lake Loc., 6 sister Taryn (Tibor) Lanczy of DeWitt, MI, Patricia (Gary) Johnson Kempner, TX, Connie Starr of Killeen, Mary (Richard) Schenck of DeWitt, MI, Elizabeth Arntsen of College Station, TX and Theodora (Eugene) Soumis of Ontonagon, MI, a brother Steven Nault of Lansing, his Father-in-law and Mother-in-law – Robert & Shirley (Anderson) Hicks of Ishpeming, brothers-in-law and sisters-in law – Robert & Kathy (Roberts) Hicks of Huntsville, AL, Dale & Jodi (Henderson) Hicks of Denver, Co, and Ann Marie Peterson of Ishpeming, step-sisters – Linda (Craig) Hawkins of Negaunee, Victoria (Jeffrey) Baldini of Ishpeming, Karen (Richard) Karki of Negaunee and Cindy (Jay) Chapman of Ishpeming, along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother – Shirley (O'Donnell) Nault and a step-brother John Sleeman.


A private memorial service will be held at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home in Ishpeming, with Rev. Fr. Greg Heikkala officiating.
