Ishpeming – Paul L. Anderson, age 77, of 326 W. Ridge St., Ishpeming passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at his home while in the loving care of his family and the Upper Peninsula Home Health and Hospice.

Paul was born June 22, 1937 in Ishpeming the son of the late Leonard and Rita (Juchemich) Anderson. He was a lifelong Ishpeming resident and a graduate of the Ishpeming High School, Class of 1955. He married the former Rosanne Racine on October 17, 1959 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Ishpeming. Together they raised 3 daughters, he working as an electronic technician for over 38 years for Michigan Bell which later became Ameritech and A T & T, retiring in 1993. Paul was a retired member of the Ishpeming Volunteer Fire Department where he had served for 32 years. He enjoyed attending the annual U.P. Fireman's Tournament during his time on the department. He will be remembered as a hardworking family man who loved doing woodworking projects, especially making model cars and furniture. Paul also cherished time spent at camp with his father where they would goose hunt together.

Survivors include his wife Rosanne Anderson of Ishpeming, 3 daughters – Cindi (John) Roose, Wendy (Dennis) Manzoline and Kris (Glen Grigg) Anderson all of Ishpeming; 2 sisters – Beverly (Harlow) Lawry of NC, and Elaine (Steve) Rolzin of Plymouth, WI; a brother Stephen (Amy) Anderson of Negaunee; 9 grandchildren – Michelle Roose, Jamee (Jake) Gobert, Jennifer (Levi) Hietikko, Nicholas Manzoline, Andrew Manzoline, Jesica (Trevor) Morrison, Eric Nowak, Melanee Bess and James Grigg; 6 great grandchildren with two more on the way, along with several nieces and nephews; he was preceded in death by his parents along with his in-laws – Jerry and Mary Racine, and a great granddaughter Kinzy Hietikko.

The family will greet relatives and friends from 11:00am – 1:00pm on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Ishpeming. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00pm on Thursday with the Rev. Dan Moll to officiate. Emtombment will take place at the Ishpeming Cemetery columbarium.

Pallbearers will be son-in-laws – Dennis Manzoline, John Roose, Glen Grigg along with grandsons Nick Manzoline and Andrew Manzoline, and Jake Gobert, Levi Hietikko, Trevor Morrison, Corey Schultz and Markus Maddock. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Ishpeming Volunteer Fire Department, who will stand honor guard.
