Ishpeming, MI- Patricia G. "Patti" Collister, age 77, longtime Ishpeming resident passed away Monday, October 21, 2019 at her home while in the loving care of her family and UP Home Health and Hospice.

Patricia was born in Ishpeming, Michigan on April 16, 1942, a daughter of the late Gladys Marion (Maddock) and Delbert Clarence Larson.  She graduated from Ishpeming High School, class of 1960, and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Northern Michigan University.  Patti taught night school in the local area and later worked for Lakeshore Inc for many years.

Patti was active with the Vietnam Veterans of American chapter 380. In her younger years she ran marathons, enjoyed biking, and she and her husband Larry enjoyed going on cruises and trips to Las Vegas where she played blackjack, winning many major tournaments.  Patti was an excellent horseshoe player having won many tournaments in Michigan and Wisconsin.

Patti is survived by her husband Larry Collister, whom she married on July 7, 1990, four brothers: Charles Larson, William (Susan Cannon) Larson, James (Rose) Larson and Norman Larson all of Ishpeming, a sister, Karen (Mark) Barker of Stephenson, MI, step son Jason Collister of Ishpeming, best friend Llewanne Salo, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Patti's family will greet relatives and friends from 10:00 am-12:00 pm on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at the Bjork and Zhulkie Funeral Home in Ishpeming where her funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm with Rev. Stacy Pethke to officiate.

A luncheon will follow the service at the Ishpeming VFW Post #4573, 310 Bank St. Ishpeming.
