Obituary
Appleton, WI- Patricia Ann LaPin, age 86 longtime Ishpeming resident joined the Lord Friday, January 15, 2010 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton, Wisconsin surrounded by family.
Patricia was born March 17, 1923 in Michigamme, Michigan to Ethel (Luneau) and Ernest "Otto" Frisk. She graduated in 1941 from Michigamme High School. Pat raised her five children in Ishpeming and lived in Marquette for a number of years. She was deeply loved and will be missed by family and friends; especially her four daughters.
Pat will be fondly remembered as the "little old lady" in local TV commercials. She was a former member of the Daughters of Isabella and a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Negaunee.
Pat is survived by four daughters: Donna (Gail) Kruse, New London, WI, Sue Ann (Michael) Salo, Largo, FL, Patti (Michael) Juchemich, Negaunee, MI and Cathy (Russell) Drews, Kaukauna, WI, daughter in law Karen LaPin, Negaunee, grandchildren: Cheryl (Roger) Paquette, Eva Leinonen, Lyle LaPin, Peter (Susie) LaPin, Dana (Jeff) Prophet, Dean (Kelly) Schultz, Heidi Seaman, Joseph Brisson, Christy (Daniel) Stine, Katie (J.R.) Mechling, Michael (Andrea) Juchemich, Nicole (Jeremy Simmons) Johnson and Abigail Drews, 28 great-grandchildren, two sisters: Marie Young, Marquette, Janet Foster, Ishpeming, one brother: Calvin (Roberta) Frisk, Michigamme, three sisters-in-law: Phyllis (Howard) Leggett, Horton, MI, Leila LaPin, Texas and Rose Frisk, Champion. Pat was preceded in death by her husband Lyle LaPin, a son, Nathan LaPin, grandsons: Darren and Derek Schultz, a brother Ernest "Bud" Frisk, brothers-in-law: Francis LaPin, Gene Foster and Sully Young.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1:00pm Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Negaunee with the Rev Monsignor Peter Oberto officiating. Interment will take place at the Lakeview Cemetery in Michigamme.
A visitation will be held at St. Paul's Catholic Church on Tuesday from 11:00am until the time of service at 1:00pm.
