Ishpeming – Patricia Ellis, age 74, longtime Marquette resident passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at the Mather Nursing Center in Ishpeming where she had been a resident since December 7, 2015.

Patricia was born June 3, 1941 in Marquette the daughter of the late Thomas and Jessie (Dymond) Ellis. She was a graduate of the Graveraet High School in Marquette. Other than Marquette she had resided in Southern Wisconsin and Northern California during her lifetime. Pat had worked at several locations throughout her life mainly as a cook at various restaurants. Pat enjoyed her trips to the Casino along with knitting and crocheting.

Survivors include a son Steven S. Ellis of Gaastra, grandchildren – Amanda (Will) Schrock and Breanna Jo (Alan) Sonnentag, great grandchildren – Jonathan Schrock and Evelyn Sonnentag, and a sister Shirley Patient of Marquette. She was preceded in death by a sister Betty Leigh.

The family will greet relatives and friends from 11:00am until 12:00noon on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at the Silver Creek Church in Marquette. A memorial service will follow at 12:00noon on Tuesday at the church with Rev. Kevin Taylor to officiate. A luncheon to follow in the church hall.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, the family suggests memorial donations be directed to the Silver Creek Church, 219 Silver Creek Rd., Marquette, MI 49855 to help cover Pat's final expenses.

The Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
