Ishpeming – Patricia Ann "Patt" Anderson, age 73, of 1 Twin Pines Dr., Green Creek Loc. passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at the Bell Hospital in Ishpeming where she had been a patient for the past day.


Patt was born December 10, 1938 in Ishpeming the daughter of the late John and Genevieve (Tasson) LaPointe. She was a graduate of the Ishpeming High School, Class of 1956. Patt went on to attend Northern Michigan University and was a graduate of the Upper Peninsula Beauty Academy in Marquette.


Patt was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church. She loved to follow her children's and grandchildren's sporting activities and events, and was an avid Westwood Patriots fan. Many hours were spent socializing with her Coffee Club over the years.


Survivors include her husband of nearly 53 years David P. Anderson of Ishpeming, 3 children – David (Becky) Anderson of Ishpeming, Julie (Mark) Honkala of Howell and Mark (Debbie) Anderson of Ishpeming, a brother John (Betty) LaPointe of Manistique, grandchildren – Melissa (Dan) Perry, Michael Anderson and his fiancee' Cara, Donnie (Brandi) DeRoche, Rebecca (Josh) Shaffer, Kate, Dean, Erin, Tony and Danny Honkala, numerous great grandchildren, brother-in-law Joseph Anderson of Ishpeming, sister-in-law Alma (John) McDowell of Kalkaska, along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister-in-law Clarann Anderson.


The family will greet relatives and friends from 11:00am – 1:00pm on Friday, February 3, 2012 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ishpeming. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 1:00pm on Friday at the St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. James Challancin to officiate. Inurnment will take place at the Ishpeming Cemetery.
