Negaunee Twp, MI- Pat E. (Potila) Johnson, age 78, of 36 Co. Rd. 510 Negaunee, passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at her home while in the loving care of her family and UP Home Health and Hospice.

Pat was born in Ishpeming on August 25, 1944, a daughter of the late Ernest A. and Irma E. (Waara) Potila. She attended school in National Mine before moving to Utah.

Pat worked at the old Marquette County Airport and as a security screener and as a cook for the Marquette County Sheriff's Department. She enjoyed bird watching, taking pictures, and loved watching her favorite team Detroit Tigers. Family was most important to Pat, always put their needs before her own.

Pat is survived by four children; Derek Johnson, Patricia Kautz, Kelly (Frank) Carlson and Devon (Courtney) Johnson, six siblings; Laura Korte, Ronald (Sharron) Potila, Cheryl Kier, Susan Winslow, Kent (Lisa) Potila and Dan Potila, 17 grandchildren; Logan, Alec, Chloe, Brandi (Andy), Nicole, Amber, Scott Jr., Hunter, Justin, Zach, Lonnie (Morgan), Kelli, Derek, Peter, Allie, Brooke and Gunnar, six great grandchildren; Hailey, Kylah, Beau, Sebastian, Rose and Emmett, along with a special cousin and dear friend MaryEllen Potila and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 57 years Wayne, siblings; Candace Potila, Amy Frederickson and Rodney Joe Potila and a son in law Scott Kautz.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Faith Lutheran Church (Co. Rd. 581) in Ishpeming with Rev. Steve Weston officiating.

Public Visitation will be held 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 29th at Faith Lutheran Church in Ishpeming.

A luncheon will follow in the church fellowship hall.
