Ishpeming- Owen D. Gordon, age 85, longtime area resident, passed away on Tuesday 11/09/2021 at the Trillium Hospice House in Marquette, while in the loving care of UP Home Health and Hospice and Trillium House staff.

Owen was born in Ishpeming on November 15, 1935, son of the late Glenn and Ann (Nordstrom) Gordon. He attended Ishpeming High School, graduating with the class of 1953. Following graduation he went on to study history at Northern Michigan University where he graduated with a Bachelor's degree before starting his teaching career where he taught at various lower Michigan schools. Following Owen' retirement from teaching he moved to the UP where he worked at Shopko in Marquette for many years. Owen enjoyed going to camp, fishing, and watching sports.

Owen is survived by several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Honoring Owen's wishes, cremation will take place with no public services.
