Ely Twp.- Norman W. Wilda, age 87, longtime Wisconsin resident, and most recently of Ely Twp, passed away on Tuesday August 25, 2026 at his home.

Norman was born on August 28, 1938 in Manitowoc, WI. He grew up in both the Manitowoc and Two Rivers areas. Norman worked as a union electrician for over 40 years. Norman married Elda (Meyer) on November 5, 2005 in Mountain, WI. They later moved to the UP where they settled in Ely Twp.

Norman is survived by his wife: Elda (Meyer) Wilda, 2 children: Bill (Debbie) Urban, Tami (Glenn) Schwalbe, 8 step children: Richard (Cindy) Williams, Sue (Larry) O’Neill, Kenneth (Jan) Wooden, Perry (Sheri) Wooden, Cindy (Bob) Warner, Debbie (Dave) Paavo, Dawn (Jim) Lofton, Janet (Rob) Eny, brother: Jim Wilda, along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Norman was preceded in death by his parents, and 2 sons: Dan and Andy Urban.

Norman’s family will greet relatives and friends at Christ the King Lutheran Church located at 440 Stoneville Rd. Ishpeming, MI 49849 from 2:00pm until 4:00pm on Saturday August 29, 2026. A memorial service will be held at 4:00pm with Rev. Mike Fox officiating. A luncheon will follow in the church hall.
