Ishpeming, MI - Norma Grace Garnett, age 85, of 111 Bluff St. Ishpeming, MI, and former Madison, MO resident passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at UP Health System Bell in Ishpeming where she had been a patient for the past week.

Norma was born in Holliday, MO on April 1, 1934 daughter of the late Glessie Pearl (Barton) and Roy Wills Blackaby. She worked as a salesclerk at Woolworth's and then did babysitting for local families in Holliday, MO along with helping her husband with his fur and produce business.

She had resided in Ishpeming, Mi for the past 4 years and was a member of Hope Free Evangelical Lutheran Church. Norma loved to ride on the OATS bus while in MO, enjoyed coffee clutch at the high rise in Ishpeming, reading and shopping trips with her daughter Debbie.

Norma is survived by a daughter, Debbie (Dean) Joki of Champion, MI; a grandson Derek (Sarah Dobson) Joki; numerous nieces and nephews.

Norma was preceded in death by her husband Junior Garnett, 2 sisters - Fay Foster, Lois Fritch and a brother Glenwood Blackaby.

The family will greet relatives and friends from 12:00PM – 1:00PM on Friday, December 6, 2019 at the Agnew Funeral Home, 128 W. Caldwell St., Paris, MO, where funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM with the Rev. Jean Davis officiating. Interment will take place at the Bethel Cemetery, Holliday, MO on what Norma referred to as "The Homeplace".

The Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home assisted the family with local arrangements.
