Humboldt Twp- Norine Mae Kulju, age 77 former Humboldt Twp resident, went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 31, 2010 at the Eastwood Nursing Center where she been a resident for the past 1 ½ years.

Norine was born August 9, 1933 to Herman & Mae (Yenore) Kulju in Humboldt, Michigan. She attended the Champion Grade School through the 6th grade. As a child she lived in Humboldt.

She lived at the Marigold AFC Home until 2005 when because of ill health moved to Mather Nursing Center. In July 2009 she moved to Eastwood Nursing Center.

She worked at a sheltered workshop until her retirement in 2001. She attended weekly activities offered by Pathways.

She is a member of the Hope Free (EV) Lutheran Church in Ishpeming. She had a love for animals & enjoyed visits by a puppy named "Sadie".

She will be missed by her Kulju & Yenore cousins and also by many friends who she named & remembered every time they visited or sent her greetings.

Funeral services & visitation will be held on Monday, January 3, 2011 at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home with visitation from 3:00 until the time of service at 4:00PM with Rev. Micah Hjermstad officiating.

A luncheon will be held at the Hope Free Lutheran Church following the service.
