Republic, MI- Nathan Alan Koski, age 30, Republic resident passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2023.

Nathan was born in Ishpeming, Michigan on December 22, 1992, a son of Wanda Kay (Schwanke) and Alan Gary Koski. He graduated as Salutatorian of Republic-Michigamme High School, Class of 2011.

Nathan was currently working as a Resident Care Aide-CNA for Michigan Veteran Homes D.J. Jacobetti in Marquette where he worked for the past 7 years.

Nathan was a member of the Republic Twp Volunteer Fire Department, he played in the Ishpeming Cribbage League for the Rainbow Bar, and in the Ishpeming Twi-lite Horseshoe League for Maki's Mini Mart. He enjoyed playing video games, listening to music, playing his bass guitars and wanted to play other instruments, along with working on cars, bowling and had a big interest in guns.

Nathan is survived by his wife, Rebekah "Beki" (Scott) Koski, whom he married on October 1, 2022, a daughter Aurora Koski, his mother Wanda Koski of Ishpeming, his father Alan (Shelly) Koski of Republic, a brother Philip Koski of Marquette, a sister Elizabeth Koski of Iron Mountain, grandfather Gary Koski of Republic, grandmother Mary Schwanke of Ishpeming, father-in-law Charlie (Tracey) Scott and mother-in-law Jennifer (Paul) Scott, along with several aunts, uncles, close cousin "brother" Chris Koski along with other cousins and many close friends.

Nathan was preceded in death by his grandmothers Sharon Koski, and Gail Schwanke, grandfather Erich Schwanke, and grandparents George and Linda Young, and an uncle Rory (Barb) Koski.

Nathan's family will greet relatives and friends from 12:00 noon – 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at the Bjork and Zhulkie Funeral Home in Ishpeming where a memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, with Rev. Alex Ross officiating.

Following the service, a potluck luncheon will be held at the Republic-Michigamme School.
