Ishpeming - Nancy Elizabeth (nee Grayes) Sjoholm, age 74, of 615 Duncan Avenue, Ishpeming passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2017, at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility where she had been a resident since August 3.

Nancy was born on January 29, 1943 in Marquette, MI the daughter of the late Sulo and Elmi Grayes.  Nancy grew up in Eagle Mills Location and was a graduate of the Negaunee High School, Class of 1960.  She married Lee Sjoholm on June 10, 1961 and they resided in Republic, MI for a few years prior to moving to Ishpeming in 1967 where she had resided since.

She worked for many years at the Miner's Bank in Ishpeming and was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church.  She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, camp on Crooked Lake in Gwinn where she loved time spent swimming, and knitting baby sweaters, along with baking her specialties at Christmas.  In her retirement years she loved her lunches with her friends and former co-workers.

Surviving are her daughter Cara (Jon) Kamps and grandson, Karsten, of Marquette, son Curt (Julie) Sjoholm and grandchildren, Chloe and Tommy of Ishpeming; her brother, Ronald; in-laws:  Keith (Katha) Sjoholm of Kaukauna, WI and Glenn (Roberta) Sjoholm of Ishpeming; and numerous nieces and nephews along with special friends Lynn Ketchem, June Jarvi and Bonnie Nelson.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lee Sjoholm on May 16, 2007, brother Robert Grayes; sister, Sandra Haupt; nephews Kraig and Shay Sjoholm.

The family will greet relatives and friends from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm on Saturday September 9, 2017 at the Trinity Lutheran Church.  Funeral Services will follow at 1:00pm on Saturday with the Rev. Ken Lahners to officiate.  A luncheon will follow the services in the church hall.  Interment will take place at the Ishpeming Cemetery.
