Ishpeming – Nancy L. Nault, age 84, of 14 North Shore Drive, Ishpeming went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 30, 2015 while residing at the home of her daughter, Maryann, during her brief illness. Nancy was under the loving care of her family and the UP Home Health and Hospice at the time of her death.
Nancy was born September 9, 1931 in Birch, Essex, England the daughter of the late Hilda (Cansdale) and Percy "Jack" Whybrow. She grew up in Birch where she had attended secondary school. In her early 20's she met Albert "Penner" Nault, who was stationed in England during the Korean War. Nancy married Al Nault on August 7, 1953 in England, and they resided there for a year. Nancy and Al moved to North Lake, MI prior to moving to Cooper Lake where they had built their family home and raised their four children.
Nancy was a homemaker who loved to provide for her family. She enjoyed attending the activities of her children and grandchildren throughout the years. Nancy was known for her baking, especially her saffron, brownies, and chow chow. Listening to multiple genres of music was a favorite past-time and she really enjoyed dancing. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church. In recent years Nancy could be found socializing with her friends at McDonald's and taking her daily walks. She cherished this past summer, which included a trip home to England to surprise her sister Daphne on her 90th birthday.
Survivors include her four children – Michael (Susan) Nault of Fond du lac, WI, Scott Nault and Kristin LeSage of Ishpeming, Tim (Patty) Nault of Ishpeming, Maryann (Ken) Farley of Ishpeming; sister Daphne Hill of England, three brothers – Graham (Jill) Whybrow, Johnny Whybrow and Brian Whybrow all of England, 11 grandchildren – Alicia (Dan) Friedberg, Ashley Nault, A.J. Nault, Nicole (Charlie) Hopkins, Jace Nelson, Joe Nault, Tori (fiance' Erich Smith) Nault, Ryan Farley, Justin Farley, Michael Farley and Elizabeth Farley; along with an expected great grandchild. Nancy is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews both in England and the United States. She was preceded in death by her husband Al Nault on Oct. 7, 2002, a granddaughter Kelsey Nault on May 19, 2004, daughter-in-law Nadine Nault on Oct. 6, 1983, and a brother Cecil "Ted" Cansdale.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 3 until 6pm on Monday, November 2, 2015 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ishpeming. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 6:00pm on Monday at the St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Dan Moll to officiate. Interment will take place at the Ishpeming Cemetery. A meal will follow the services in the church hall.
Nancy's grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
