Forsyth Twp, MI - It is with profound sadness we share the news that Miles Orion Kerkela, infant son of Alicia A. Kerkela and Zebron P. Dahms, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, April 23, 2025.

Miles was born at UP Health System Bell on March 13, 2025. Although he only spent 6 short weeks here on Earth, he was loved so much. He brought an incredible amount of joy and love in his brief time with us and will remain in our hearts forever.

He is survived by his mother Alicia Kerkela, father Zebron Dahms, "Auntie Becky" Rebecca Kerkela, a brother Jack Lehtinen, two sisters; Adalyn Lehtinen and Sophia Taylor, grandparents: Michael (Carolyn) Kerkela, Jessica Potila, and Suzanne Doepke, and great grandmothers Mary Kerkela and Dolores "Dee" Doepke. Miles was preceded in death by his great grandfather Jack Kerkela and great grandmother Candace Potila.

A gathering for Miles will be held on Friday, May 16, 2025 beginning at 12:30 pm at the Sands Township Park.
