Auburn, IN- Michael J. Chilcote, age 46, of Auburn, IN, and former Ishpeming resident passed away on February 16, 2021.

Michael was born in Marquette, Michigan on July 5, 1974, a son of Jane Ruth (Korpi) Tackett and John James Chilcote.

Mike graduated from Westwood High School, Class 1992 where he served as student council president.  He was currently employed at Shiloh Industries in Auburn, Indiana.

Mike is survived by his father John Chilcote of Ishpeming, his mother, Jane (Jerry) Tackett of Westminster, SC, 2 brothers; Brian Chilcote of Houghton and Jeff Chilcote of Ishpeming, uncles; Lee Chilcote and Dennie (Carey) Korpi, along with several cousins.

Honoring Mike's wishes, cremation will take place, a private family service will be held at a later date.
