Republic, MI – Merry Ellen Ringuette, age 60, of Republic passed away on August 23, 2021 at her home with family by her side under the care of UP Home Health and Hospice.

Merry was born in Ishpeming to Arthur and Patricia (Duhame) Hamel on October 30, 1960.

Merry was an avid cribbage player, and an avid Green Bay Packer Fan. She was also known to be a very good cook.

Merry is survived by her husband Ray, children; Shawn (Tonya) Ringuette and Kevin (Donnie Bonneau) Ringuette, grandchildren; Alexis and Troy, siblings Susan (Richard) Thibeault, John (Susan) Hamel, Jeff Hamel, Leslie (Roger Jr.) Herman, Becky (Don) Heliste, sister in laws, Cheryl Hamel and Natalie Hamel, aunt; Alice Faye Robinson and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Paul and Mark Hamel.

Merry's family will greet relatives and friends from 2:00-4:00 PM on Thursday August 26, 2021 at the Bjork and Zhulkie Funeral Home in Ishpeming where a prayer service will be held at 4:00 PM.

A potluck luncheon will follow the service at the Champion Township Fire Hall at 5:00 PM.

The service will be livestreamed, available on Bjork and Zhulkie Funeral Home's Facebook page.

Interment will take place at a later date at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Champion.
