Scottsdale, AZ- Mercedes Adele Tresidder passed away of natural causes on December 29th, 2023, in Scottsdale Arizona. She was 91 years old.

Adele was born on July 14, 1932, to Frank and Hilda Kumpula in Republic, Michigan. She attended school there and graduated from high school. Adele always appreciated the finer things in life. Growing up during the depression, the family had little money, so she worked odd jobs to make spending money. She once worked for two weeks picking potatoes to save enough money so she could buy a new pair of dress shoes for school.

After graduating from high school, Adele went to work as a secretary for the Iron Ore newspaper in Ishpeming. There she met her future husband, Roy, and a few years later they married. Adele helped Roy to start a rival newspaper and printing company, which was the beginning of Globe Printing in Ishpeming.

In 1978, Adele and Roy moved to Scottsdale and started a new printing business but returned to the U.P. every summer to their camp on Lake Michigamme. Adele loved flowers and spent every day in the summer nurturing her "floral paradise" as Roy described it.

Aside from gardening, Adele loved music. She was a great singer and spent many years singing with the Eastern Star choir. In the wintertime she enjoyed cross-country skiing, baking and holiday gatherings with family and friends. More than anything, Adele enjoyed spending time with her family.

Adele was preceded in death by her husband Roy, her parents, her sisters, Bertha Williams and Elaine Edens, her brothers Reino and Ronald Kumpula and her daughter in law Lynn Streib. She is survived by her two sons, Terrill Tresidder, Dennis and (Carla)Tresidder, granddaughter, Paige and (Loren)Herrington, grandson, Brett Tresidder, great granddaughter, Maeve Herrington and sister, Marlene Mongiat of Negaunee.

The family is planning to have a graveside memorial service in Ishpeming this summer.
