Ishpeming- Mary C. Trebilcock, age 93 of 752 Mather Ave. Ishpeming, passed away Friday, May 11, 2012 at her son's home in Marquette while under the loving care of her family and UP Home Health & Hospice.
Mary was born in Ishpeming, Michigan on March 16, 1919, a daughter of the late Elizabeth (Carlyon) and Richard Carlyon. She graduated from Ishpeming High School, class of 1936 and worked at Woolworths her senior year. After graduation Mary worked as a receptionist and bookkeeper for Dr. Stanley Holman in his dental office. She married William Trebilcock and together they operated the Ishpeming Greenhouse later known as Twin City Florist.
Mary was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church where she was active with the United Methodist Women. She was also a member of the Eastern Star- Hematite Chapter 190 of Ishpeming. Mary was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed family time spent at Lake George and Lake Michigamme.
Mary is survived by three sons; William (Joan) Trebilcock, of Albuquerque, NM; Rev. Doug (Kay) Trebilcock, of Midland, MI; Robert (Suanne) Trebilcock, of Marquette, a sister Dorothy (Ray) Windsand of Ishpeming, 5 grandchildren: Julie (Tom) MacKenzie of Albuquerque, Laura (Mark) Martinez of Albuquerque, Michael (Heidi) Trebilcock of Midland, Brian (Liz) Trebilcock of Flushing, MI and Amy (Clayton) Vader of Austin, TX, 10 great grandchildren: Jessica, Misha, Hunter, Grant, Kasey, Megan, Anna, Ellie, Joshua and Madeleine, a great great grandson Brayden along with numerous nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her husband William, 3 brothers C. James Carlyon, Robert Carlyon and Richard Carlyon and a sister Doris Carlyon.
Funeral Services for Mary will be held at the Wesley United Methodist Church, in Ishpeming, at 11:00AM on Monday, May 14th, with Rev. Scott Lindenberg officiating. Interment will take place in the Ishpeming Cemetery.
The family will greet friends at the Wesley United Methodist Church on Monday from 9:30am until the time of service at 11:00AM. The Eastern Star will conduct a memorial at 10:00am at the church.
Pallbearers will be Michael, Brian and Grant Trebilcock, Clayton Vader, John Waters, Larry Carlyon and Pete Nault.
