Marquette, MI- Mary Ann Wolf, I was born June 15, 1938, in Ashland, Wisconsin to Katherine (Stipetich) and Frank Gerzetich. I died on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at the Trillium Hospice House while in the loving care of family and UP Home Health and Hospice.
When I was 10 days old the three of us came back to Ontonagon, Michigan where I was raised and graduated from Ontonagon High School with the class of 1956. That same year I married Donald E. Wolf, Sr. In 1961 we moved to Champion, Michigan where we raised our seven children. In 1974 I realized a lifelong dream and went to Bay de Noc Community College and became an LPN.
I worked for Marquette General Hospital for 28 years, enjoying my work more than you can imagine. After retirement, I found a new passion working with the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. In all the years with the Society my greatest honor was working with many amazing Vincentians and being elected by them as their Ishpeming District President and serving 4 years in that position helping our neighbors in need.
I am survived by my children: Donald (Karen) Wolf of Ishpeming, Timothy (Deborah) Wolf of Champion, Rita (Michael) Dobson of Palm Bay, FL, Lisa (Larry Williams) Wolf of Fuquay Varina, NC, Beth (Garrett Massenburg) Wolf of Raleigh, NC, Jerome (Gail) Wolf of Champion and Jason Wolf of Ishpeming, I am also survived by grandchildren; Eli Wolf, Jacob Wolf, Jessica (Greg) Savitski, Jennifer (Timothy) Roman, Joseph (Stacie) Dobson, Christopher (Abbie) Szymanski, Eric (Elisha) Szymanski, Luke (SoJeong) Szymanski, Jillayne Szymanski, Ashley Wolf and Jayden Wolf, great grandchildren; Zachary and Layla Roman, Emily, Allen, Sophia, Anna and Genaveen Dobson, Nikolai, Daniel, and Iris Szymanski, Asa and Leif Szymanski, Brothers; Robert Gerzetich, James (Kate) Gerzetich, sister-in-law, Dee Gerzetich, brother-in-law James Davison, brother-in-law David (Diane) Wolf and by many nieces and nephews.
