Obituary
Ishpeming- Mary Hill, age 85 passed away at Marquette County Medical Care Facility on Sunday morning, March 07, 2010 with family at her side.
Mary was born September 11, 1924 in Iron River to Uno and Martha (Pari) Hakala.
She could regularly be seen sitting at the entrance of the Facility greeting visitors and workers. She loved all animals, especially her cat Honey and bird Cosmos. Bingo was a favorite pass time along with a passion for music.
Mary lived in Iron River most of her life and married Eli Hill in 1948. She worked at the local nursing home in Iron River as a nurse's aid for many years.
She is survived by two sisters, Mamie Anderson & Lillian (Duane) Danielson of Ishpeming, a brother, Walfrid (Gloria) Hakala of downstate Lake Odessa, and several nieces and nephews.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents and husband.
