Republic, MI - Mary Y. Davis, age 80, of Republic, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2024, at her home in Republic.

Mary was born in Pulaski, VA on November 21, 1943, a daughter of the late Maggie M. (Vaughn) and Curtis B. Williams. She had resided in Republic since 1964 where she made a home and raised her six children.

Mary was an extremely hard-working person, working three jobs to take care of her children. She loved all kinds of music, doing crossword puzzles and seek and finds. She also loved reading. She always had a book open that she was reading.

Mary was devoted to her family. There was hardly a day that went by that she didn't call "just to make sure you're OK" and let you know "I love you."

Mary is survived by a daughter, Sharon (Steven) Seymour of Marion, VA; three sons, Duane Davis of Mundelein, IL, Jerry (Debra) Davis of Abingdon, VA and Stacy (Leyr) Davis of Republic; a sister, Esther Rupe of Bethpage, TN; eight grandchildren - Dana, Hilary, Charles, Jennifer, Tabitha, Benjamin, Danielle and Katie along with several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, William Robert and a daughter, Karen Lynn and a lifelong friend Jesse Onkalo.

Per Mary wishes there will be no funeral services.
