Ishpeming- Mary Jane Boles, age 79, resident of Ishpeming Twp, passed away on Tuesday October 3, 2023 at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility while in the loving care of her family, and nursing home staff.

Mary Jane was born in Ishpeming on June 3, 1944, daughter of the late Frank and Teresa (Tasson) Bertucci. She grew up in Ishpeming and attended Ishpeming High School, graduating with the class of 1962. Following graduation she went on to raise her children before working at the Mather Nursing Home, and earning her associate degree in personal insurance from the American Institute of Insurance. Mary Jane then worked for several insurance agents including State Farm in Negaunee, Larson, Hetrick, Weave/VAST, Farmers Agency, and Jennings Insurance totaling an over 30 year career in the industry where she earned several top seller awards and trips.

Mary Jane was a member of the Harley Owner's Group Chapter 3803 of Marquette, where she received the appreciation award, and served as officer and secretary. She enjoyed crocheting, loved music and singing, cooking spaghetti dinners, riding with her husband on their Harley, swimming, and wintering in Florida.

Mary Jane is survived by her husband of 33 years- James Boles, 3 children- Frank (Marci) Childress, Debi (Charles) Dault, Christopher (Mackenzie) Childress, 4 step children- Amy (Michael) Abbott, James (Mary) Boles Jr., Christopher (Brooke) Boles, Douglas Boles, 11 grandchildren- Jacob Childress, Jessica Childress, Tony Dault, Mary Dault, Alex Robinson, Samantha Boles, Tia Boles, Willalynn Boles, Birkley Boles, Kaden Kuhn, Kira (Nick) Abata, 3 great grandchildren-  Jazamin, William, and Haliway, along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings- Elizabeth (Chicky) Bengry, Rose (John) Armitage, Teresa (Bert) Carrier, Mickey (Pat) Bertucci, Francis Bertucci, Anthony Bertucci, and a great granddaughter- Camdyn Abata.

Mary Jane's family will greet relatives and friends on Monday October 9, 2023 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church from 10:00am until 11:00am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am with Fr. Christian Flagstadt celebrating. A luncheon will follow the Mass in the K/D Hall. Interment will take place at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Marquette.
