Ely Twp.- Mary J. Bertucci, age 73 of 2983 US Hwy 41 West Ishpeming (Ely Twp) passed away Thursday April 16, 2015 at her home while in the loving comfort of her family and Lake Superior Hospice.

Mary was born June 24, 1941 in Humboldt to Ernest & Violet (Carlson) Yenore. She graduated from Champion High School, class of 1958 and received an associate degree from Northern Michigan University. Mary worked for the N.I.C.E. Community Schools for 20 years retiring in 2003.

Mary was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church. She enjoyed gardening, going to casinos and had a true love for her dogs. She was a proud supporter of UPAWS, WHWL Radio and the Salvation Army. Mary also enjoyed playing cards and had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren and great grandson.

Mary is survived by her husband Steve Bertucci, whom she married in 2003, 4 children: Larry (Lisa) Kirker of Markesan, WI, Jackie (Chris) LeFever of DePere, WI, Jennie (Gregg) Nelson of Sheboygan Falls, WI and Steve (Erin Stratton) Bertucci Jr. of Ishpeming; 2 sisters: Clara (John) Carlson of Ishpeming and Carol (Ross) Tresedder of Iron River, grandchildren: Kassara, Katie, Kayla, Tyler and Ali Kirker, Samantha & Taylor LeFever, Drew & Bryce Nelson, Annie and Alyssa Bjork & A.J. Saurdini, and great grandson Gunnar Moss, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband Larry Kirker.

A memorial service for Mary will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday April 18, 2015 at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Ishpeming with Rev. Warren Geier officiating.

Mary's family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday at the Bethany Lutheran Church from 9:30 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM.

A luncheon will be held in the church fellowship hall following the service.
