Hancock- Mary A. Andriacchi, age 96, longtime Ishpeming resident, passed away Tuesday, February 24th, 2009 at Portage Pointe in Hancock where she had been a resident for the past five years.

Mary was born in Iron Mountain, on March 4, 1912, the daughter of the late Joseph and Conceta (Tudesco) Conte. She was a high school graduate and attended St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Ishpeming. Mary married Anthony Andriacchi on September 5, 1936.

Mary is survived by three daughters, Catherine Andriacchi of Ishpeming;
Antonia (Lawrence) Kramer of Ann Arbor; Frances (Ted) Ricci of Hancock;
a son, Stephen Andriacchi of Murrieta, CA, daughter-in-law Rita Andriacchi of Ishpeming, 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, sister Esther Tasson of Ishpeming, brother Ernest (Gloria) Conte of San Jose, CA, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Anthony in 1970, son Joseph, 3 brothers and 4 sisters

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, at 11:00AM on Saturday, February 28th with Rev. Fr. Greg Heikkala officiating. The family will greet friends and relatives from 9:30AM until the time of services at 11:00AM at the church. Interment will take place at the Ishpeming Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mary's grandchildren.
