Ishpeming – Mary A. Andrew – age 85, formerly of 125 N. Lilac St., Ishpeming Twp. passed away on Saturday August 24, 2008 at the Mather Nursing Center in Ishpeming Twp. while in the loving care of her family and the Upper Peninsula Home Health and Hospice.


Mary was born October 1, 1922 in Montafalcone, Italy the daughter of the late Anthony and Delores (Minelli) Manzoline. She moved to this country at a young age, and had resided in Ishpeming since. She was a graduate of the Ishpeming High School, and worked for a few years as a seamstress at the H. W. Gossard Co. Mary was a member of the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. She enjoyed camping, berry picking, especially blueberries, listening to Elmer Aho on Saturday evenings, and dancing to the Westerly Winds Band with her late husband William, who preceded her in death in 2001.


Survivors include a daughter – Barbara (Bryan) Johnson of Ishpeming, a sister-in-law Betty Manzoline of Marquette, 4 grandchildren – Julie (Tim) Talus of Ishpeming, Bryan (Lori) Johnson of Iron Mountain, Katie (Jason) Olivier of Witinsville, MA, and Amy (Justin) Luce of Utica, 5 great grandchildren – Alicia and Brandon Talus, Madlynn and Clara Olivier, & Andrew Luce, along with several nieces and nephews.


The family will greet relatives and friends from 9:00am until 11:00am on Tuesday at St. John's Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Tuesday August 26, 2008 at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Greg Heikkala to officiate. Interment will take place at the Ishpeming Cemetery.
