Obituary

Ishpeming, MI - Marshall Clyde Randall, age 96, longtime Ishpeming Twp. resident, passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at his home, while in the  loving care of his family and U.P. Home Health and Hospice.

Marshall was born in Ishpeming on February 15, 1928, and enlisted in the United States Army at age 16, having served in WW II. Marshall reenlisted in the Army during the Korean War.  Marshall had worked briefly for C.C.I. in the Steam Plant in Ishpeming prior to its closure. Hs main employment was with the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier, a career that encompassed 25 years.

Marshall was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and the Ishpeming VFW. He cherished time spent at his hunting camp in Big Bay, and was known to pass his time doing various woodworking and building projects.

Survivors include his wife of nearly 70 years, Marion Randall of Ishpeming Twp., three daughters, Marsha (Mike) Helppi, Susan Heliste and Julie (Scott) Santti all of Ishpeming, son, Albert (Melanie) Randall of Negaunee, a sister, Barbara Roberts of FL, 11 grandchildren - Jeremy Palo, Erick Palo, Sean Palo, Sheila Groblebe, Sara Bariski, Jodi Heliste, Cory Beth Grigg, Ashley Taylor, Eric Santti, Joshua Randall, Katelyn Randall, along with numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Florence (Lindberg) and John  Randall, along with 3 brothers and 4 sisters from the Mosca Family.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church from 10:00 - 11:00AM on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, where a Mass of Christian Burial will then be celebrated at 11:00 AM with Rev. Fr. Christian Flagstadt officiating. Military Honors will be accorded by the United States Army, UP Honors Team. Interment will take place at the Ishpeming Cemetery. Marshall's Funeral Mass will be livestreamed at ishpemingcatholic.com
