Michigamme – Mark C. Swendsen, age 61, of Michigamme passed away on Friday, Dec. 28, 2018 following a brief flu.

Mark was born in Highland Park, MI and moved to the Upper Peninsula in his youth.  He was a graduate of the Westwood High School. Mark owned and operated Marquette Supply Co. for many years, retiring in 2000.  He and Betty moved to Lake Michigamme in 2000 where they have resided since.  Mark was affectionately referred to as "Moof" by his grandchildren.

Mark is survived by his wife of 26 years, Betty L. Swendsen of Michigamme, daughter Rebecca (Ryan) Aper and their children Payton and Camille, daughter Christine Stevens and her son Ethan.  He was preceded in death by his Yorkie companion "Jack".

Cremation will take place with private family services per Mark's wishes.
