Tilden Twp.- Mark Alan "Spock" Raisanen, age 55, Tilden Twp. resident, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2019 at a result of a motorcycle accident.

Mark was born in Ishpeming, Michigan on August 3, 1963, a son of the late Jeannette Marie (Wiitala) Luoma and Donald Louis Raisanen.  He graduated from Westwood High School, class of 1982.

Mark worked as an equipment operator for Ruona Excavation for many years and was currently sawing for Jeff Pohlman's sawmill in National Mine.  Mark enjoyed the outdoors; hunting, fishing, and cutting wood.

Mark is survived by a son Joe Raisanen, two sisters Ann Marie Poirier of Negaunee and Dawn Raisanen of O'Fallon, IL, a brother Michael Raisanen of Ishpeming, stepdaughter Layla, an uncle Richard (Molly) Raisanen, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Raisanen and Jeannette Luoma, wife Leslee, brother Steven, and sister Jeannette Raisanen.

Mark's family will greet relatives and friends from 2:00-3:00 PM on Thursday August 1, 2019 at the Bjork and Zhulkie Funeral Home where a memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM with Rev. Stacy Pethke officiating.

Inurnment will take place at the Ishpeming Cemetery.
