Ishpeming, MI- Marilyn Millimaki, age 78, former Ishpeming Township resident passed away on Monday, October 24, 2022, at Marquette County Medical Care Facility while under the care of family and Lake Superior Life Care and Hospice.

Marilyn was born in Ishpeming on April 13, 1944, a daughter of the late Rudolph E. and Elizabeth (Fredin) Franson. Marilyn graduated from Ishpeming High School.

Marilyn worked at MCMCF for 14 years as a kitchen aide and worked at the Ishpeming VFW-Post 4573 and helped with pasty making at the Ishpeming ELKS Lodge. She was a member of the Ishpeming VFW Women's Auxiliary. Marilyn enjoyed playing Bingo.

Marilyn is survived by three daughters; Lisa Lewis, Patty (Tim) Newton and Betty Sallengs, two sisters; Suzanne Johnson and Jean Topliff, two brothers; Steve (Vicki) Contois and Jerry Franson, along with grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; Betty and Rudolph Franson, husband Richard Millimaki and two brothers; Ralph and Paul Franson.

Marilyn's family will greet relatives and friends from 3:30 pm- 5:00 pm on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at the Ishpeming VFW Post 4753 where a memorial service will be held at 5:00 pm, with Daryl Johnson officiating. A potluck luncheon will follow. Inurnment will take place at the Ishpeming Cemetery.

Marilyn's family would like to thank the 400-wing staff at MCMFC and Lake Superior Life Care and Hospice for the wonderful care given to Marilyn.
