Republic, MI - Marilyn M. Jensen, age 86, former Marquette County resident passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at her daughter's residence in Belleville, IL.

Marilyn was born in Republic, MI on January 20, 1939, a daughter of the late Ethel (Ogea) and Lawrence Lyyski. She was a graduate of the Republic High School, Class of 1956. Marilyn married Robert Jensen in 1960 and had resided in the Northern Illinois area for many years.  Marilyn worked as a secretary at Cotter & Company (True-Value) for 33 years and at Edgebrook Dermatology for 16 years, retiring at age 77.  Marilyn enjoyed tending to her flower gardens during the summer months and had a passion for reading.

Marilyn is survived by a daughter, Shelly (Ken) Kozeluh of Belleville, IL; a son, Randy (Kathy) Jensen of Geneva, IL; a sister, Colleen (James) Pafford of Marquette; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert in 1991; sisters Judy Hawkins-Hackeman, Beverly Hintsala-Sheperd and brother Ronald Lyyski.

A private graveside service will be held in the spring at the Republic Cemetery.
