Michigamme- Donna Lovelace, age 69 longtime resident of Michigamme passed away Monday, August 13, 2018 at the UP Health System Marquette where she was a patient for 4 days.

Donna was born February 27, 1949 in Detroit, MI to the late Duane and Beda (Halverson) Lovelace. Donna graduated from Champion High School, class of 1967 and received a bachelor's degree from Northern Michigan University in 1971. Donna worked as a secretary and office clerk for Cleveland Cliffs Iron Company for 30 years, working at many of their local locations, retiring in 2000 from the Tilden Mine.

Donna enjoyed knitting and would knit outfits and send them to several hospitals for premature babies. Donna also had a love for animals, and enjoyed feeding them, she also had a green thumb and had wonderful flower gardens and would dry flowers to use to make decorations with.

Donna is survived by 2 brothers: Clifford James (Anne) Lovelace of Michigamme, and Michael (Susan) Lovelace of Fountain Hills, AZ, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Duane and Beda Lovelace.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday August 17, 2018 at the Lakeview Cemetery in Michigamme with Paul Peterson to officiating. A luncheon will follow at the Michigamme Township Community Building.
