Ishpeming- Mari L. Ayotte, age 66, of Ishpeming, passed away on Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at her home.
Mari was born in Ishpeming, Michigan on October 19, 1954; daughter of the late Edward E. and Mildred M. (Matheson) Jossens. She graduated from Champion High School, class of 1973.
Mari worked at the H.W. Gossard Company, and was currently working at St. Vincent DePaul where she worked for 27 years.
Mari was a faithful member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church where she faithfully attended Adoration on Thursday nights.
Mari is survived by daughter, Amy (Joseph) Stakvel, and son Glenn Ayotte, both of Ishpeming; 3 grandchildren: Zoe and Annabelle Stakvel, and Elaina Emmendorfer, two sisters: Maxine (Michael) Denofre of Ishpeming/Arizona; Marcia (Paul) Peterson of Ohio; two brothers: Stephen Zielinski of Ironwood, and John Zielinski of Green Bay; also numerous nieces and nephews and her mother-in-law Jean Baggiore of Ishpeming.
Mari was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years James "Jim" Ayotte, her parents, her brothers: Ed Jossens, Larry Jossens, and Alan Zielinski, and her favorite Aunt & Uncle Glenn and Mabel Matheson.
Mari's family will greet relatives and friends on Wednesday July 21, 2021, from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Ishpeming where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am with Fr. Ryan Ford to officiate.
Interment will take place at the Ishpeming Cemetery.
A luncheon will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Church fellowship hall.
