Ishpeming- Margaret A. Hares, age 85 of 361 S. Pine St. Ishpeming, passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility. Margaret was born in Ishpeming, on June 6, 1927 to Henry & Margaret (Ashaker) Isabelle. She graduated from Ishpeming High School, class of 1945. Margaret worked as an office clerk & bookkeeper for Coast to Coast and the Newberry Store in Ishpeming, retiring in 1982. Margaret enjoyed baking, entertaining for friends and having them over for coffee. Her favorite time was babysitting her grandchildren. She followed the Hematite's & Green Bay Packers. She loved to watch her grandchildren play basketball, volleyball, football, baseball, wrestle and dance. She was an avid skier in her younger days and cross country skied Hill St. later on. Margaret was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Margaret is survived by 3 children: Nora (Dr. Steve) Rauwerdink of Colgate, WI, Mary (Steve) Troyer of Manitowoc, WI and Tim (Dana) Hares of Ishpeming, 7 grandchildren: Brandon (Jen) Pace, Kyle Pace, Matthew Troyer, Kaitlin Hares, Casey Hares, Hayden Hares and Ava Hares, 2 great grandchildren Hunter and Sawyer Pace, along with nieces, nephews, and special friends: Jean Anderson, Cokie Bertucci and Bertha Loehde. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, husband William Hares and brothers Joseph and Henry. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Fr. Greg Heikkala officiating. The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Johns Catholic Church on Saturday from 10:00am until the time of service at 11:00am. A luncheon will be held at the K/D Hall following the service.
