Obituary
Ishpeming – Margaret Lorraine (Anderson) Dobson, age 68, of 111 Bluff St apt 509, passed away Monday, August 4, 2008 at Marquette General Hospital.
Margaret was born on March 14, 1940 the daughter of the late Byron "Mike" and Lorena "Rene" (Treloar) Anderson in Ishpeming. Margaret was a 1959 graduate of Ishpeming High School and a life long area resident. She was an active member of Wesley United Methodist Church and enjoyed making pasties with the women. Margaret was an amateur artist and loved painting oil paintings. She was a Noble Grand for the Rebekah Lodge and also a State Representative. Margaret was a member of the Board of Commission, the United Methodist Women, and Mary Circle. Margaret retired from U.P Home Health and Hospice after many years of serving as a Nurses Aide. She also liked to socialize with the ladies at the high rise during coffee time
Margaret is survived by a Sister: MaryEllen (Jerry) Ahtonen of Ishpeming, Nephews: Michael (Carol) Peura of Norfolk, VA, Bryan (Heather) Ahtonen of Ishpeming, Nieces, (adopted daughters): Jean (Mark) Feldbauer and Cathy (Paul) Peterson both of Ishpeming, Great Nephews: Alex Feldbauer and Ethan Ahtonen, Great Nieces: MaryJean (Huck) Holappa, Teri (Andy Arczynski) Henson all of Ishpeming, and Kristen Peura of Norfolk, VA, Great-Great Nephew Jared Arczynski, Great-Great Nieces Elizabeth Snell, Emma Aho, and Emily Holappa all of Ishpeming along with several cousins, and an aunt and uncle.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 8, 2008 at Wesley United Methodist Church in Ishpeming at 11:00AM with Pastor Scott Lindenberg officiating. Margaret's family will greet friends and relatives from 9:00AM until the time of services at 11:00AM. A luncheon is to follow the service at the church. Interment will take place at the Ishpeming Cemetery.
Pallbearers for the service will be Mark Feldbauer, Alex Feldbauer, Paul Peterson, Jerry Ahtonen, Bryan Ahtonen, and Leigh Anderson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wesley United Methodist Church at 801 Hemlock St, Ishpeming, MI 49849.
