Ishpeming- Mae M. Marra, age 86 of 1125 N. 2nd St. Ishpeming, passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at the Bell Hospital in Ishpeming.

Mae was born the daughter of the late Felix and Ida (Perry) Paquette on May 4, 1921 in Spalding, Michigan. Mae was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. She married Frank Marra in 1942 and has been a resident of the Ishpeming area since the early 40's. Mae enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and cooking. She worked at the Congress and the Venice Supper Club for a period of time and loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include six children: Jim (Judy) Marra of Ishpeming, JoAnn McDowell of Ishpeming, Jeanette (Bernie) Senske of Ishpeming, Jackie (Pete) Dunphy of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Cathy Marra of Ishpeming, Steve Marra of Ishpeming, daughter-in-law: Mary Paulson of Brighton, MI, sister: Lil McInnis of Escanaba, 4 Grandchildren: Lisa (Rob) Ruby, Brenda LaMere and fiancé Mark Clements, Amy Marra and fiancé Ed Broxterman, and Kimberly (Chad) Kakkuri, 5 Great Grandchildren: Derek, Travis, Trent, Peyton, and Samantha, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Mae was preceded in death by her husband Frank, and a son Fran, brothers & sisters Freddy, Buck, Art, Ida Arnold, Vina Brunelle, Violet Ayott.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 29, 2007 at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church at 10:30a.m. with Fr. Greg Heikkala to officiate.

Mae's family will greet friends and relatives from 9:00-10:30 at the church. Interment will take place at the Ishpeming Cemetery.
