Negaunee- Lucy (Wabange) Eastman walked down her last path at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility in Ishpeming on Sunday, March 25, 2018.

She was born in M'Chigeeng, Ontario in 1936. She joined the working world around the age of 11 with the death of her grandparents.  Following the earlier guidance of her grandfather, she came to the United States. There she met her husband, Earl Eastman, and they spent the next 29 years in Grand Marais, MI.  Following her husband's death in 1984 she moved to Negaunee to be closer to her daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren.

Lucy is survived by her daughter- Sandra (John) Haavisto, grandchildren- Jesse (Jessica) Haavisto, Lance (Sarah) Haavisto, Pete (Alana) Coghill, Anthony Coghill, and Mary Coghill, as well as numerous great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband- Earl, a daughter- Margaret Coghill, her parents, and 10 brothers and sisters.

A family gathering will be held at the time of her burial in Grand Marais, MI later this spring.
