Ishpeming – Louise M. Ombrello, age 89, longtime Ishpeming resident passed away on Sunday, November 4, 2012 at the Marquette Co. Medical Care Facility in Ishpeming where she had resided since June of 2011.
Louise was born December 19, 1922 in Ishpeming the daughter of the late Alfred and Edith (Decaire) Nault. She married Phillip F. "Fish" Ombrello on November 30, 1946 in Ishpeming, and together they raised their family. Time spent with family, especially her grandchildren, was dear to her heart. Louise was an avid reader, enjoyed playing cards and watching Detroit Tiger Baseball.
Survivors include, 4 children – Phillip (Marlene) Ombrello of Ishpeming, Sharon (Rich) Raper of Elizabeth City, NC, Paul (Lois) Ombrello of Ishpeming, Shirley (Gerry) Argall of Appleton, WI, her grandchildren, who were her pride and joy – Traci (Jeannie Karrer Chase) Ombrello of Bryan, TX, Tammy (Scott) Newbern of Simi Valley, CA, Nicole (Brad Knapp) Argall and Grant (Julie) Argall both of Appleton, WI, great grandchildren – Zachary Argall-Knapp, Carter Newbern, Kyle Newbern, Phillip, Jack and Will Argall, a step-grandson Jeff Koval of Marquette, a brother Ernest Nault of Negaunee, along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Phillip F. "Fish" Ombrello on August 27, 2010, her parents, 5 brothers - Clifford, LeRoy, Robert, Bernard and Leo and two sisters - Lorraine Marketty and Alice Portale.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 10am – 11am on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ishpeming. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. James Challancin to officiate. Interment will take place at the Ishpeming Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Grant Argall, Brad Knapp, Tammy Newbern, Jeff Koval, Nicole Argall, Traci Ombrello & Julie Argall.
