Ishpeming- Lorraine Cecelia St. Onge, age 97, long time Ishpeming resident passed away on Monday, December 14, 2020 at Mission Point Nursing & Physical Rehabilitation Center of Ishpeming as of result of COVID-19.

Lorraine was born in Ishpeming, Michigan on August 10, 1923, a daughter of the late Edward and Antoinette (George) LaFave.

Lorraine worked as a cook most of her adult life, working in Crystal Falls at a nursing home, Madelyn's Pasty Shop and retired from the Congress Pizza and Lounge.

Lorraine enjoyed playing BINGO, right up to her last days, and spending time at the casino.  She and her late husband Donald spent time together camping, fishing, and taking daily road trips.  Lorraine loved cooking, especially for her grandchildren as she would make anything they requested.  She enjoyed watching and feeding her birds.  With Christmas coming soon, this was her favorite time of the year.

Lorraine is  survived by a daughter, Bonny Koski, of Gwinn, son in law John "Jack" LaFountain of Ishpeming, 7 grandchildren: John A. (Cheryl) LaFountain, Donald (Carol) LaFountain, Ricky (Sherry) LaFountain, Lori (Douglas) Sicotte, Robert LaFountain, Byron (Wendy) Koski, and Eric (Shari) Koski, great grandchildren: Matthew, Ryan, Robyn, Todd, Michael, Sierra LaFountain, Ashley (Kevin) Price, Chelsea Sicotte, Sara Welker, Tori Lindmark, Kayla and Abbagail Koski, Ethan and Landin Koski, great great grandchildren: Blake Christian, Lucas Olive, and Colt Lindmark, special niece: Maxine Sutherland, along with other nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Antoinette LaFave, husband Donald R. St. Onge, infant daughter Janice St. Onge, daughter Donna A. LaFountain, son in law Danny L. Koski, brothers: Lawrence LaFave, and John Nault, Sisters: Florence Fredette, Jeannette Sutherland, and Shirley Russo.

Due to current restrictions regarding COVID-19 a private service will be held at the Bjork and Zhulkie Funeral Home with Fr. Ryan Ford officiating.

Interment will take place at the Ishpeming Cemetery.
