– Lorraine M. Schultz, age 97, former Ishpeming Twp. resident, passed away on Thursday October 26, 2017 at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility while in the loving care of her family and nursing home staff.
Lorraine was born in North Lake location in Ishpeming on March 8, 1920 to the late Alexander and Jennie (Arsenault) Thibodeau Sr. She worked as a Nursing Assistant for 10 years at the Bell Hospital and as a cook at Ducky's in Clarksburg for 8 years. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church and a former member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. Lorraine was a member of the Altar Society, she enjoyed bowling, reading, cooking, canning, and gardening, but enjoyed spending time with her family the most. Her family values and love for God were second to none and she was as close to a Saint as anyone could get.
Lorraine is survived by her 4 sons- Keith Schultz, David Schultz, Sterling (Connie) Schultz and Michael Schultz, 15 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great granchildren:Ken Schultz (Justin), Lori (Eric) Bendall (Nicholas), Danielle (Garret) Guidebeck (Cooper, Tabitha, Carter), Steven (Connie) Schultz (Nicolette, Victoria, Cole), Kurt (Ann) Schultz (Jesse, Josh), Amy (David) Bond (Taylor, Tucker), Sterling Craig (Nora) Schultz (Shelby), Mitchell Schultz (Kaiya), Hunter Schultz, Dean (Kelly) Schultz (Donny, Kallen), Dana (Jeff) Prophet (Natalie, Alyssa, Trevor, Amanda, Tyler, Levi), Brad (Linda) Schultz (Jordan, Brooke), Corey Schultz, Tricia Schultz (Samantha, Zach, Sadie, Haylee) and Kirk Schultz (Zavier), along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband- Sterling Schultz Sr., grandchildren- Darren Schultz, infant Derrek Schultz, infant Kristin Schultz, brother- Alexander Thibodeau Jr., sister- Idabelle Noble, Dorothy Thibodeau, and Viola Trennick. Daughter-in-law, Karen Schultz, best friend Viola Currie and close cousin
Margueritte
(Muggsy) Thibodeau.
Lorraine was the matriarch of not only our family but also extended family of many in the Clarksburg/Diorite area where she lived for most of her life. She was loved by all and you will never hear a single soul say a bad word about her. She will be missed beyond words.
Lorraine's family will greet relatives and friends on Monday October 30, 2017 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ishpeming from 3:00 PM until the time of her funeral Mass at 5:00 PM. A dinner will follow the Mass in the Church hall.
