Ishpeming Twp- Lorraine M. "Renee" Cudahy, age 74 of 145 Lotus St, Ishpeming Twp, passed away Saturday, July 14, 2007 at the Mather Nursing Center where she been a resident since May 30, 2007.

Lorraine was born June 22, 1933 in Ishpeming to Raymond and Lena (Seppi) LaPlante. She was a life long area resident. Lorraine loved animals, especially her dogs & cats. She enjoyed listening to country music and talk radio. Lorraine was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Ishpeming.

Lorraine is survived by a brother William (Jean) LaPlante of Wells, MI, a sister Nancy (Alan) Dighera of Kingsford, MI, along with several nieces and nephews. Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert, a sister Charlotte Backman and a brother Ralph LaPlante.

A memorial service will be held 1:00p.m. Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home in Ishpeming with Fr. Greg Heikkila to officiate. Inurnment will take place in the Ishpeming Cemetery.

Friends may call the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home on Wednesday from 12:00noon until the service time at 1:00p.m.

Memorial considerations may be directed to the Marquette County Humane Society or the Ishpeming Cancer Society in memory of Lorraine.
