Champion, MI- Lorraine Sally Beck, 62, of 149 Co. Rd. AK Champion, MI passed away Wednesday, August 31st, at Lakeland Specialty Hospital, Berrien Center, MI where she had been a patient for the past 2 weeks.

Lorraine was born in Three Oaks, Michigan on January 31, 1949, a daughter of Genowefa "Jean" (Dziepak) and the late Frank Rymarz. She graduated from River Valley High School in Three Oaks, MI and received a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Western Michigan University.

Lorraine taught at Phelps, National Mine, Ely and Champion schools. She enjoyed flowers, gardening and taking care of stray animals. She was always the neighborhood "Mom" to many.

Lorraine is survived by her mother Jean Rymarz of Berrien Springs, two daughters, Lori Lee, of Three Oaks, MI; and Stacey (Brian) Hanna, of Berrien Springs, MI; three grandchildren: Ashley Hanna, Madison Hanna and Douglas Lee, and a brother Ed (Karna) Rymarz of Bain Bridge, WA., as well as her late husband, Martin's, family. Lorraine was preceded in death by her father Frank, husband Martin Beck and a sister Stella Rohr.

Memorial Service will be held 12:00 Noon Friday, September 9th, 2011 at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home, Ishpeming, with Rev. D. Michael Carriere officiating. The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00am until the time of service.

Inurnment will take place in the Champion Cemetery.
